Leon County Invites Local Artists to Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Through Art

Leon County Government invites artists of all ages and experience levels to submit original artwork for “Cultura Tallahassee: Together, We Are More,” a community art exhibition celebrating Hispanic culture, heritage, and history. Selected artwork will be displayed at the Leon County Main Library from September 15 through October 15, 2026, in recognition of National Hispanic Heritage Month.


Artists interested in participating can learn more and submit their artwork at LeonCountyFL.gov/HispanicHeritageMonth. Those needing assistance with the online application may visit any Leon County Public Library location.


The community is also invited to celebrate the exhibit's opening during a free reception on Saturday, September 19, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Leon County Main Library, 200 West Park Avenue. Guests can view the exhibition and enjoy light refreshments.  

Observed annually from September 15 through October 15, National Hispanic Heritage Month honors the histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. Throughout the month, Leon County Government will also offer cultural programs, recommended reading lists, book displays, and movie watchlists to help residents explore and celebrate Hispanic heritage.
