“hush! Beach Concerts x Urban Sports Wellfest 2026” creates a new cultural and tourism experience in music and sports for youth in November

MACAU, October 8 - Jointly organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) and MGM, and co-organized by the Customs of Macao Special Administrative Region, the Municipal Affairs Bureau, the Marine and Water Bureau, and the Macao Government Tourism Office, the “hush! Beach Concerts x Urban Sports Wellfest 2026” will be held from 14 to 15 November at Hac Sa Beach in Macao. The event brings live music and urban sports to the coast, creating a new cultural and tourism experience that combines music, sports and community culture. This initiative allows residents and tourists to enjoy performances, challenge themselves, relax and explore local culture in a single day, providing Macao with a new cultural and tourism experience through a more participatory event.

Themed “Energy Island”, this year’s event transforms the entire coastline into a youth lifestyle scene that can be experienced, practiced and explored. Participants can follow the musical rhythms while practicing sports, enjoy performances amidst natural landscapes, and establish connections between culture, wellness and community through various forms of interaction. This cross-disciplinary experience not only enriches Macao’s events but also showcases the charm of this region as a cultural, sports and tourism destination in a way that resonates with young travellers, contributing to the diverse image of “Cultural Macao”.

Seven themed zones to liven up the coast: a vibrant experience that combines music, sports and interaction

The event features seven themed zones, including the main beach stage “Hot Wave”, the lawn stage “Music Chill”, “hush! Young Vibe”, the “Wellfest Stage”, the “Fitness Challenge”, the “The Commons‧Workshops Hub” and the “hush! Market”, combining musical rhythms, urban sports and community interaction into a vibrant coastal experience. The public can freely explore live performances, the food market, sports challenges and interactive activities, through their active participation by attending the performances and through challenges to their physical limits by keeping up with the rhythm, creating a youthful lifestyle filled with vitality and community connection.

In what concerns the musical line-up, the event will focus local bands and musicians, featuring several artists from home and abroad to take the stage, including one of the most popular independent bands from Chinese Mainland, Omnipotent Youth Society, the Malaysian independent dream-pop band, babychair, the veteran Portuguese electronic music DJ, Branko; the leading hip-hop music collective from Taiwan, That’s My Shhh, as well as the veteran rapper and poet from Chinese Mainland, J-Fever. Among these, J-Fever will host freestyle rap workshops, allowing the public to participate in the creation and exchange beyond simply enjoy the performance.

As a highlight of the event, the connection between music and urban sports will be explored in various ways. Hong Kong fitness coach Utah Lee, in collaboration with Hong Kong DJ team Cantomania, will present the “DANCE Canto!!!” on the “Hot Wave” main stage, combining Cantonese pop music with aerobic dance and high-intensity interval training (HIIT). Dancers Lingo and BIG from Taiwan will present the “Afro Dance Party”, which is full of rhythm and cultural characteristics, leading participants to experience the free and expressive energy of dance and the charm of culture through African pop dance and body movement. The event also includes the “Workout Training Station” by the Hong Kong functional fitness community DIN.LA.JOR, “PFT Challenge”, which combines elements of endurance, strength and coordination, as well as a sound meditation experience hosted by Hong Kong singer-songwriter and certified sound healer Jocelyn Chan.

Shuttle transportation and community outreach activities: multiple free direct routes to the venue and music waves spreading across the city

In order to facilitate public access to Hac Sa Beach, free shuttle buses will be provided during the event, travelling from Iao Hon Market Park, Fai Chi Kei, Taipa Central Park and MGM COTAI to the event venue and vice versa. Residents and tourists can also take the MGM COTAI’s free shuttle buses at all ports in Macao (except Qingmao Port) to MGM COTAI’s B1 shuttle bus lobby, and transfer to the event’s free shuttle buses to Hac Sa Beach. In order to promote the development of local pop music culture, numerous outreach activities will be held from 1 to 16 November in various districts and schools. These include promotional events, music workshops, and international music industry exchange sessions, bringing the festive atmosphere from the beach to the community and building a platform for musical exchange and cultural dissemination.

Admission to the main event is free.
